Crime rate accelerating, 106 people killed in 2013

According to reports, nearly 106 persons have been murdered between January and April 2013 in various areas of Rawalpindi compared to 83 in the previous year.

Reports indicate that crime incidence has increased in the current year and the police failed to control the rising crime rate

41 accident cases were registered in 30 different police stations in this period. However, there were no registered kidnapping cases.

In Rawalpindi, 194 people sustained injuries in different incidents compared to 177 people last year.

No rape cases have been registered in 2013 so far, while 41 gambling cases have been registered in this year compared to 61 such cases in 2012.
