Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Umer has said the PTI congratulated PML-N on their victory in the Election 2013.
Talking to a private news channel, PTI leader said it was a big day for the people of Pakistan as democratic power had won in the country.
He said the PTI congratulated the entire nation for coming out of their homes and registering their voice in favour of democracy.
He said it was a big day for the PTI as well, as it had emerged as the second largest party in the country.
He said the PTI was going to make government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“For Tehreek-e-Insaf it is a big day, a golden day,” PTI leader Umer said.
“A party which has no existence in parliament has emerged the second largest national party and the leading party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where God willing it is going to form a government.”
His words were echoed by former wife of Imran Khan, Jemima Khan, who said the PTI seemed all set to form government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
An elated Jemima said in a Twitter message that it was a great success for a political party, which once held just one seat in the parliament.
In one of her earlier Tweets, she lauded Pakistanis for turning out to vote in the face of all the terror threats. She also Tweeted that their sons were wearing Imran Khan’s kurtas (long shirts) on Saturday.
Jemima added that she was praying for peace and safety of Pakistanis during the polls.
Asad Umer also said, “Imran Khan is a sportsman and has sportsmanship to accept defeat in elections.”
