Prominent political leaders and other influential personalities cast their votes in the federal capital at various polling stations.
Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Malik Shakeel Awan voted at different polling stations of NA-55 in Rawalpindi.
Former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, former National Assembly Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also voted in Islamabad.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)’s Ghulam Murtaza, and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)’s Saddaqat Abbasi cast their votes in Murree and Kahuta.
Further, Chaudhry Nisar polled his vote in his native town, Chakri and PTI candidates Ghulam Sarwar Khan and Siddique Khan, and PPP’s Intekhab Shah voted in NA-53.
Other prominent voters included PML-N candidates Malik Abrar, PPP’s Zammurd Khan, PTI’s Hina Manzoor, PML-N’s Sardar Naseem, PPP’s Chaudhry Iftikhar, PML-N’s Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, PPP’s Israr Abbasi and PTI’s Raja Rashid Hafeez. They visited their respective polling stations in NA-54, 55 and 56 and exercised their voting right on May 11.
