Nawaz declares victory

Pakistan Muslim League’s (PML-N) Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif and brother Shahbaz claimed victory in general elections of Pakistan, announcing that the elder Sharif would stake claim for prime ministership.

His claim comes as PML-N  is appears as the biggest party in initial results but votes are still being counted and there is no guarantee of a clear majority.

Analysts say that PML-N will form the next government.

Speaking to their supporters outside theoir model town residence Nawaz Sharif thanked the nation for reposing trust in him.

Nawaz Sharif has remained prime minister two times in 1990 and 1997 but both of his government wre prematurely dismissed, once by then president Ghulam Ishaq Khan and then his second government was ousted in 1999 in a military coup by former military ruler Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf.

  1. At last Pakistan is evolving democracy.If army does not sabotage then Pakistan can become a model of democratic system for Islamic countries.

  2. Nawaz Sharif once said in Medina during Hajj that he will free Pakistan from all the crises.I am so happy that Nawaz Sharif won General Elections 2013.Now Pakistan will go far Inshallah.
