Security in the city was tightened on Friday in lieu of terrorism threats on Election Day. The City Traffic Police (CTP) ordered that all the city’s entry and exit points be monitored vigilantly, while special pickets would be established along various routes. All suspicious persons, vehicles with tinted windows and those without number plates would be checked.
