The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will not form an alliance with the PPP or the PML-N, PTI Central Information Secretary Dr Shireen Mazari said on Saturday.
In a statement putting to rest rumours being floated about a PTI alliance with the PPP, she categorically stated that the PTI would not form an alliance of any kind with the PPP or the PML-N.
“If a candidate from any other party, including the PPP, chooses to withdraw in favour of the PTI, that is their personal choice,” she said, adding that “such withdrawing candidates have obviously seen the message today: that it is Naya Pakistan Day and so they have chosen not to fight what for them is a losing battle!”
Despite all manner of impediments and propaganda being put out against the PTI, Dr Mazari said the PTI supporters would stand steadfast as they are committed to bringing about a “Naya Pakistan”.
Dr Mazari reiterated that the PTI had not and would not form any alliance now or post-elections with the PPP, the PML-N and other parties, who had been in power repeatedly and failed repeatedly.
