No trace of Haider Gilani yet, admit police

Multan SSP (Operations) Khurram Shakoor has said police could not find any clue about former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s son Ali Haider Gilani.

Talking to reporters, he said police had formed special teams, which were not only working on various aspects of the case but had also set up temporary checkposts at various points of the city despite it being the election day.

The SSP said police had sought assistance of the ISI to recover Ali Haider. Apparently it seems he was not kidnapped for ransom, but it was a case of terrorism. In this regard police have taken several people into custody.

In addition, those who attended the last corner meeting with Ali Haider were also being interrogated. Police was also investigating the details of a cell phone SIM, which was found from the crime scene.
