After the Jamat-e-Islami’s boycott of elections in Karachi, Jamhori Watan Party, Sunni Itehad Council and Mohajir Qaumi Movement (MQM-H) have also boycotted the elections. The parties has alleged that the polls are being rigged and the promise of a “free and fair elections” is going unfulfilled.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Spokesperson Arif Alvi demanded that the notice be taken of reports of rigging and mismanagement in various polling stations of Karachi. He said that the army had been called multiple times but had not arrived even after five hours.

Pakistan Peoples Party has asked for re-election in the constituencies where rigging has been reported. Whereas PML-N leader Nihal Hashmi said that the elections results would not be accepted in Karachi as the polling stations had allegedly been handed over to terrorists.
