Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) leader and Muttahida Deeni Mahaz’s (MDM) candidate for PS-128 Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqi on Friday escaped a gunfire attack while his two guards sustained bullet injuries in Korangi.
According to police, Moulana Aurangzeb survived the attack while his two police guards sustained wounds in the attack. The injured police personnel have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital. It was the second attack on Moulana Aurangzeb Farooqi as he had escaped an attack on December 25, 2012, in the metropolis.
