Justice Jawwad S Khawaja remarked on Friday that those who have plundered public wealth are the real looters and no one will be allowed to plunder a single penny.
He gave these remarks while presiding over a three-member bench of the Supreme Court (SC) during hearing of the information ministry secret funds case.
Justice Khawaja said it is strange that public wealth is spent but account of expenses is not given. “Nothing will remain secret now and all will come to light,” he added.
Concerned authorities and the petitioner appeared before the court but the auditor general’s report could not be presented.
The court inquired under what law was the federal information ministry utilising million of rupees under the secret fund head.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till May 15.
