Cutlery exports from the country during the first nine months of the current financial year grew by 0.95 percent as compared to the corresponding period of last year. During the period from July, 2012 to March 2013 cutlery goods worth $60.86 million as compared to $60.28 million of same period of last financial year, said the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). Meanwhile, the exports of onyx manufactured increased by 24.20 percent during the period under review as about 2,471 metric tons of onyx manufactured worth $7.36 million exported. The onyx manufactured exports was recorded at 2,078 metric tons valuing $5.92 million during the period from July-March 2011-12, the data revealed. However, during the period under review exports of surgical goods and medical instruments decreased by 2.25 percent and recorded at $222.3 million against $227.4 million of same period of last year. The exports of chemicals and pharma products decreased by 32.18 percent and reached to $556.49 million in first nine months of current financial year as compared to $820 million during same period last year. The data revealed that during last nine months, exports of electric fans from the country grew by 36.24 percent as about 1,221 thousand numbers of fans worth $26.46 million.
