50 polling stations without electricity

The Punjab government has directed the district government to install emergency lights in polling stations for the upcoming elections.
According to reports of Rawalpindi assistant commissioner, 50 polling stations in the district do not have electricity. Therefore, the provincial government has planned to provide generators on the stations.
The Punjab government has sent Rs1 million to the district government for the installation of two lights per station and generators in the polling stations, while the district government has demanded Rs 2 million for the purpose. The district government has written to the provincial government either to allocate Rs 2 million for the task or order to install one emergency light per polling station.
