Siemens industry summit discusses challenges

Siemens Pakistan organised a conference for industry customers at a local hotel, an official of the organisation announced on Wednesday. He said the moot titled `Siemens Industry End User Summit 2013- 360 degree of industry,’ discussed the challenges which industries are facing today.
These pertain to increasingly scarce resources, rising demand for energy, global competition, ever more complex products and production processes.
The official further pointed out that the Siemens Industry End User Summit, presented solutions for boosting competitiveness, through Siemens automation and drive technologies that can help industrial companies create lasting value and cope with the many challenges being faced.
Among the solutions presented, energy efficient motors attracted a lot of interest.
Since 40% of global energy is used by industry and 70% of that is used by motors, the use of energy efficient motors especially in an energy starved country like Pakistan can significantly contribute to profits, reduce operating costs and help the nation conserve energy.
The session also provided the industry customer with a platform to share experiences and learn about new innovations through demonstrations, presentations and discussions.
