Independent candidate escapes roadside blast in Khyber Agency

Attacks against political parties and their candidates continued across the country on Wednesday as another candidate escaped a bomb blast in Khyber Agency bordering Afghanistan.

Officials said the incident took place in Jamrud town of the tribal agency where miscreants targeted vehicle of an independent candidate Shah Ji Gul with a roadside bomb.

Gul is contesting elections from National Assembly constituency NA-45. The candidate and his companions remained unhurt in the blast which was caused by a remote controlled device, security sources said.
