Imran Khan to attend Islamabad rally despite injuries: PTI

In a rather ambitious development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday announced that its injured party leader Imran Khan would attend the May 9 Islamabad rally, which was earlier cancelled following the PTI leader’s hospitalisation.

A PTI spokesman said the public gathering would be held as scheduled with the active participation of Imran Khan who suffered head and back injuries after falling down from a height of 10-14 feet while a fork lifter was hoisting him up to a stage set for a rally.

However, talking to a private channel, the spokesman said Imran Khan’s addressing the Islamabad rally was contingent upon his condition. He said if the doctors did not deem Imran Khan as fit to travel then he might speak to the gathering via video-link.

  4. IK epitomizes forbearance, a die-hard spirit and an intrepid resolve to change the face of a nation which is being crushed under its own weight due to wreaking corruption.

    Though my loyalty is with PTI, IK needs to be very careful whom he allows inside the circumference of leadership. Not everyone is an ally and cloak behind soaring speeches, political rhetoric and in chanting of slogans.

    Get up, dust yourself off and get back in the game. There's work to be done and many challenges ahead.

  6. I wish people to understand the myth of change. change in leadership would be futile unless or until people of Pakistan decide to tune up their set mentality.I pray, that the people of Pakistan continue loving Khan when he would be starting clean up operation of the nation.

    • Imran Mustafa you may be the only one with this "myth" stuff.Nation is as good or bad as its leaders.We have had corrupt or thick headed leaders if you may,since Ayub Khan left.Now this change in leadership will transform the nation.We look forward to an honest loyal and very able leadership and this is the change.

Thanks to Allah Almighty who saved our great visionary leader.We need a change like the one Holy Prophet(SAW) brought in Madina ,or from recent history what we saw in China and Iran,the nation also has to change its character…only then Imran Khan's long struggle would be fruitful.So lets resolve that we as a nation will rise to the occasion.May Allah help and guide us to follow the path of those who have been rewarded and not those who have gone astray.Ameen.

  11. He has been working really hard for the upcoming elections, often i wonder does he ever rest as i have seen him addressing 4 to 5 different places every day. He is our true & brave leader who only cares about Pakistan and he knows we have a potential to become a great nation and all we need is a path to follow. The path which Imran Khan has showed us so it’s my request to all the people if you want to see Nayya Pakistan then Vote PTI. My leader was in hospital in pain but still saying Ya Allah Pakistan par apna karam frma, I would say Ya Allah tera sukar kay tu nay Imran Khan ku Pakistan mey pedda kiya. It won’t be long when our hero is back on his feet and leading us as Wazir a Azam of Pakistan(In Sha Allah). Long live Imran khan long live Pakistan!!! Vote PTI stamp on Bat on 11 May.

  14. mushkil hai… just been listening to A Umar.. its unlikely.. jazba has to rest … may be able to speak from hospital bed but that is a big if… T7 compression fracture hai.. welding kar ke tou theek naheen hoga 1 din mein

  15. C7-T1 fracture bhi hai but that is more of spinous processes… which is not serious… he has developed pneumothorax because of rib fractures.. lets give him some rest yaar

    My mom is not in her home town so she cant vote.
    Even though my dad is sindhi he cant vote cause he is in peshawar.
    I live in karachi.
    Iam nine years.
    I hope pak becomes better.
    Imran is needed to do that.

    Certainly the message to the nation by Imran Khan from ICU is REALLY REALLY

    an Election Winning statement.

    Pakistan is lucky to have such a great Genuine leader. Hope they will let him take the country out of this terrrarism and corruption.
