The Motorway Police on Wednesday foiled a kidnapping attempt of Brigadier (r) Tariq Aizaz, a retired officer of intelligence agencies.
The Motorway Police said the retired officer was on his way to Lahore from Islamabad when unidentified men attempted to abduct him.
Upon receiving a tip-off, the Motorway Police reached the spot on time. The kidnapers fled leaving behind their vehicle after exchange of fire with the police.
