MQM’s Karachi delimitation petition dismissed

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has dismissed a petition filed by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) against the new delimitation of constituencies in the metropolis.
The SHC bench, while hearing the petition, ruled that it could not interfere with the decision of the Supreme Court (SC). While hearing the Karachi law and order case, the SC had ordered the delimitation of constituencies in the city. A petition had also been filed against delimitation by the PPP.
In its order, the SHC stated that the petitioners could approach the SC or the relevant tribunal.
