It is time the Sharif brothers told us about the money they have laundered: Rehman Malik

Former interior minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik on Monday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), accusing Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif of money laundering and illegally transferring money to Saudi Arabia and London.

Addressing a press conference, Malik claimed to have documentary evidence about Sharif brothers’ involvement in money laundering. He said that the property of PML-N leaders in London was sealed over a fake account.

“I will not refrain from speaking truth even it I am put behind bars,” he said, urging Sharif brothers to share the details of money laundering issue with the nation.

“I invite Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif to prove me wrong,” he challenged.

Malik waved documents before a packed news conference claiming that he possessed documentary evidence to prove that the Sharif brothers were engaged in money laundering.

He also possessed a decade old confession letter of PML-N stalwart Ishaq Dar in which the senior party leader, who is related to Nawaz Sharif, had admitted the charges of money laundering.

Ishaq Dar is currently a senator and leader of PML-N in Senate.
