The government of Pakistan on Friday demanded that Indian authorities conduct a probe into the brutal attack on Pakistani prisoner at Kot Bhalwal Jail Indian-occupied Kashmir.
According to details, Pakistan has established contact with India on the issue of an attack on a Pakistani prisoner, Sanaullah at being held at Kot Bhalwal jail.
A Foreign Office spokesman said that details of the attack had also been sought from the Indian government.
Meanwhile‚ Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi raised the issue with the Indian authorities and demanded access to the injured Pakistani prisoner who was shifted to Intensive Care Unit at Chandigarh Hospital after going into coma.
Earlier, Indian prisoners attacked a Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah in Kot Bhalwal jail.
The injured Pakistani prisoner was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Sources said that the prisoner suffered severe injuries to the head. Reportedly‚ the attacker is a personnel of the Indian army.
