Revealing the secret of Asif Ali Zardari’s ability to run the government for five years, Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan termed Nawaz Sharif’s three year love affair with the president as the success formula.
Whilst addressing an election gathering at Shakargarh, a city in Northeast of Narowal District, Khan said, “The root of cause of this flawed system in the country is thana, kachheri and patwari culture and PTI will stop this at the root after coming in power”.
He termed the previous government as the worst ever regime of the country.
He said Asif Ali Zardari, buys everyone as people were sold to him like goats.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were coalition partners for three years and the Punjab government had everything in control from school’s to power production, yet they did not deliver anything to serve the masses.
Criticising the deployment of about 1260 security personnel for the security of Sharif family, Imran Khan revealed that over Rs 200 million were spent for this purpose only.
Numbering the consequences of deployment of such a heavy number of police personnel on Sharif family’s security, he expressed his lament over the fact that people of Punjab were suffering from the worst era of law and order and the Sharif family was interested only in their own safety.
“The time has come to end politics of self interest in the country. Lion Hunter (Imran Khan) has come to end politics of self interest,” he added.
Drawing attention of Pukhtoons of Shakargarh, he claimed to being the only capable person to stop the massacre of Pukhtoons.
He said if the PTI was elected, it would introduce a new system in the country, bringing a local government system and shifting powers to the lower class. “The PTI will make Pakistan a prosperous country,” Imran pledged.
