Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, was fired upon near Sukkur city of Sindh on Thursday as the candidate remained safe in the attack.
Police said Dharejo was travelling to his village for election campaigning when miscreants on a motorbike fired multiple shots at the vehicle near Sukkur city in Sindh.
A companion of Jam Ikramullah Dharejo who was also in the car was injured in firing while Dharejo fortunately remained unhurt.
Police arrived at the scene and started investigation.
Dharejo, who is younger brother of Jam Saifullah Dharejo, is contesting election from Sindh Assembly constituency PS-III, Sukkur.
