Former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday revealed that he had struck a deal with Benazir Bhutto before 2008 general elections and some key countries and personalities were guarantors of the deal.
Recording his first statement before joint investigation team of the Federal Investigation Agency, the former president said as per the agreement, Benazir Bhutto had to come Pakistan after general elections but she violated the pact.
Sources said Mushararf did not disclose the names of guarantors and said former interior minister Rehman Malik be questioned in this regard.
He said that Rehman Malik had been the only means of contact between himself and Benazir Bhutto.
