The Inspector General of Police Railway has cancelled all the recruitments made in the Railways Police at Rawalpindi and imposed a ban on new enrolment till further orders.
Sources said the inspector general had accorded approval to recruitment of 120 constables in Rawalpindi Railway Police which were lying vacant since long. The vacancies were advertised in the news papers following lifting of ban on enrolment by election commission. Over 1,000 applications were received against these posts. But the recruitment orders have now been cancelled.
