The Rawalpindi City Traffic Police (CTP) will be launching a grand operation against vehicles having tinted window glasses from tomorrow (May 1) keeping in view the law and order situation ahead of upcoming general election.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah said that strict action in accordance with the law would be taken against traffic rules violators particularly vehicles having tinted window glasses.
Vehicles are being impounded while challan tickets are also being issued for not obeying instructions against pressure horns, and smoke emitting vehicles, he added.
The CTO said that under the drive, the city traffic police would take strict action against the tinted glasses vehicles from May 1, adding that no one would be spared in the operation.
The CTO said that special campaigns were launched in the past by the traffic police to educate road users especially motorists about observance of traffic rules which are for their own safety.
