Punjab Inspector General of Prisons Mian Farooq Nazeer on Tuesday cancelled the leaves of all jailers and directed them to report to their place of duty immediately.
The decision has been taken to ensure foolproof security in and around all prisons in view of the prevailing law and order situation. All range DIGs and senior superintendents of jails across the province have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the directive and send compliance reports within a couple of days.
