The Pakistan Army is capable of dealing with any internal or external threat and to guard national frontiers, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Kayani said on Tuesday.
Gen Kayani was addressing officials at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi in connection with Youm-e-Shuhada. The day was observed across the country to pay tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country.
On the occasion, people paid rich tributes to the armed forces and its agencies that rendered sacrifices in the war on terrorism.
Army officials and families of the martyred troops also attended the ceremony.
