Unidentified men blew up an 18-inch diameter gas pipeline in Malagzara area of Dera Bugti lying near Nasirabad on Tuesday.
Levies sources said the unidentified men had attached an explosive device with a pipeline in Malagzara area supplying natural gas to gas purification plant.
“As a result of the explosion, a portion of 18 inches diameter gas pipeline was damaged and gas supply to parts of Sindh was suspended,” Levies said.
The law enforcement agencies personnel rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area to trace the suspects.
The Sui Southern Gas Company officials said the repairing work of the affected pipeline would start after security clearance.
The Levies forces have registered a case against the unidentified culprits.
