Two people were killed and several others were left injured in various acts of violence targeting election candidates across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday.
The attacks are part of a continued series of attacks that have claimed dozens of lives across the country in attacks that are specifically aimed at those vying for a place in the assemblies through the upcoming elections.
At least 12 people had been killed on Sunday in various such attacks and the authorities seem to have no idea of how to control the spiralling violence.

ANP’s PK-17 candidate Muhammad Ahmed Khan’s election office was the target, police said.
“The blast was carried out with a remote controlled device and was planted on a bicycle,” Sardehri police station SHO said.
He confirmed that a person was killed in the attack and was believed to be a passer-by.
