Hearing of contempt plea against NAB chairman adjourned

The Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned the hearing into a contempt of court plea against National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Fasih Bokhari until today (Tuesday) besides disposing of the case against former NAB chairman Deedar Hussain Shah.

A three-member SC bench presided over by Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case on Monday.

During the hearing, the court was told that Deedar Hussain Shah was no more the NAB chairman therefore the petition filed against him had gone ineffective. Upon this, the court disposed of the petition against him.

During the hearing, Asma Jahangir, counsel for Bokhari requested the court for adjournment of the hearing as she and KK Agha were preoccupied in connection with other cases.

The court put off the hearing until today (Tuesday).

  1. This is one of the most evil man in Pakistan, responsible for killing his own employee. may Allah give him guidance even as he nears his death bed.
