Only PML-N can bring a revolution: Nawaz Sharif

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif continued his election campaign on Sunday and said only PML-N can bring a revolution in the country.
Addressing a public gathering at Murree, Sharif said if voted to power, the youth would not have to chase after employment and he did not wish to gain their votes by lying to them.
“We will provide interest free loans to youths who have degrees and want to use their skills to open up businesses,” he said.
Sharif added that people knew who had served Pakistan and who had only played cricket.
According to the PML-N chief, it was his party which had earlier brought a revolution in Pakistan.
Sharif also criticised President Asif Ali Zardari over his failure to address problems faced by the masses.
Sharif said the PML-N government will construct a railway line from Islamabad to Murree.
He said in his previous tenure‚ he had launched mega projects such as the Motorway and the Gwadar Port.
He said his party will establish medical‚ engineering and agriculture universities in the area to enable the local population to get higher education at their doorsteps.
He promised to provide gas and water facilities to Murree and its adjoining areas.
Addressing an election rally in Abbotabad, the PML-N chief said it was a pity that Pakistan had no respect in the world despite being a nuclear power.
Sharif said in 1999 Pakistan was progressing fast under his government but a military dictator ousted the elected government and reversed the wheel of progress.
“A dictator wasted eight years of Pakistan and spoiled all the good work done by us,” he said.
He said after Musharraf, President Zardari came to power but his government did nothing for the country either.
“If our government had been allowed to continue, Pakistan would have been a different country by now,” he said.
He said he was appealing for votes because he wanted to bring Pakistan out of the crises it was facing at present.
He said he would not sit in Islamabad after coming to power but would remain in touch with the masses and solve their problems.
“We will rebuild Pakistan with the help of youth and Pakistan will once again be on the track of progress,” he added.
Nawaz Sharif on Sunday also called upon political forces to unite against terrorism, adding that the country will not let terrorists hijack elections, local media reported.
“We just cannot let a handful of militants deny us elections. We will have to stand united against their anti-Pakistan designs. Elections shall be held per scheduled no matter what,” the PML-N chief said in a statement.
Praying for the eternal peace of the deceased and the speedy recovery of the injured, he condemned the bombings at political parties’ election camps in the strongest of words.
Sharif urged all stakeholders to sit together for resolving the issue of terrorism.
In an interview‚ the PML-N chief said terrorism is the main cause for destabilisation of the economy‚ unrest‚ unemployment‚ and lack of foreign investment in the country.
He appreciated the courage of victimised parties who were favouring elections on time despite attacks.
Responding to a question he said the energy crises could be controlled by reducing extra government expenditures.
