Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday said no one could stop the country from transitioning into a ‘new Pakistan’ as soon as PTI came into power.
Addressing an election rally at Mandi Bahauddin, he said, “Corrupt people cannot make the system corruption-free. Only PTI can fix the damage they have done to this country.”
He said a new Pakistan was essentially inevitable, adding it was bound to come into being.
“When justice prevails, a country prospers. There are no two opinions on this,” he said.
Khan said the PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif was dreaming to come to power for the sixth time.
“Those who let the nation down five times cannot be given another chance for they cannot outdo themselves. They are hardwired to plunder. Doing any good to the country is against their very grain,” the PTI chief said.
He said Pakistanis were not a flock of sheep or goats, and could tell the difference.
Khan said if voted to power‚ his party will introduce a system based on justice and equality where the law does not differentiate between the rich and poor. He said he will tackle issues relating to inflation and unemployment.
He further said the youth can play a vital role in changing the system.
He regretted that those looting the national kitty managed to reach the parliament.
Khan also appealed to terrorists not to sabotage the election process.
“Let the political parties run their campaigns during the run-up to elections. An environment conducive to a level playing field is very important for the democratic process,” said Khan talking to media personnel in Lahore.
Responding to a question Khan said PTI believed military operation was not a solution to the problem.
Khan alleged that Maulana Fazlur Rahman was a hypocrite.
“If Fazl proves that a Jewish lobby is paying me, I will quit politics for good,” Khan said.
He once again ruled out an alliance with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) or Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) before, and after elections.
