PIA officials accused of luggage robbery

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has started looking into a case involving luggage robberies at Shaikh Zayad bin Rashid Terminal (Bhawalpur Airport).
According to reports, several officials of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) are accused in several robberies. Passengers have reported items such as mobile phones, jewellery and laptops missing from their luggage.
A man’s stolen cell phone was traced back to a security guard at the P IA office. Reported a daily English Newspaper
The security guard Asim, after being arrested confessed to stealing the phone and also pointed out another security guard as well as a luggage loader complicit in the robberies.
District manager Mushtaq whilst talking to the newspaper clarified that Asim was a security guard contracted from a private security company hence PIA was not responsible adding that the accusations against PIA were completely baseless.
