The total number of registered voters in the federal capital is 708,813 who will vote for two National Assembly constituencies – NA-48 and NA-49.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the total number of female registered voters in the capital is 284,698. Fifty-one candidates are contesting from NA-48 where the number of registered voters is 393,048, including 137,389 female voters. For NA-49 constituency, 26 aspirants are contesting in the elections. The constituency has a total of 314,323 registered voters, which includes 147,309 female registered voters.
The ECP has announced to set up 546 polling stations for these two constituencies. Returning officers have begun visiting the polling stations to review arrangements for the polling day scheduled on May 11.
