The three day Jashan-e-Baharan festival being held at the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) will end today with much festivity and gala.

The festival has caught attention of people after artisans from different areas are showing up to display their artwork. Visitors are being enthralled by their unique artwork.

Besides the artwork of artisans, various cultural programmes are being presented to entertain the visitors.

Folk music, folk dances, magic shows, puppet shows, and traditional foods on stalls are prominent highlights of the festival. Singers Ishaq Saqi, Muhammad Arshad, Sadia Batool, Rukhsana Khan and Sami have performed in the festival.

The festival was inaugurated by social worker Amjad Hussain Alvi and artist Naheed Manzoor. Alvi applauded RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed for providing wonderful entertainment to the people of the twin cities and for providing a platform to the artisans.

Alvi said that it was not an easy task to gather people in the current difficult circumstances but the council had made it possible.

Manzoor said RAC was famous for its quality programmes and presented decent entertainment to the people.

Ahmed resolved that RAC would continue such activities. The colourful event was organised in collaboration with Artists’ Welfare Organisation.
