Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday pledged creating new provinces after coming into power.
Addressing a large public meeting at Bahawalpur, Khan said his party would establish more provinces only after addressing issues of water distribution and other key matters.
He once again challenged Nawaz Sharif to a televised debate on national issues.
The PTI chief was again critical of Sharif brothers, questioning their failure to generate electricity during the previous term.
He said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had failed to make reforms in police, health and education sectors.
Khan went on to say that PML-N spent Punjab’s entire budget on a single road in Lahore.
“Punjab government spent billions of rupees on a single project in Lahore, letting the entire province suffer at the mercy of fate,” he said.
Khan alleged the PML-N had supported President Asif Ali Zardari in looting and plundering the nation.
Khan pledged he would unite people from all ethnic backgrounds in the new Pakistan.
Khan said his party would make a new Pakistan according to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
He said PTI is a democratic party and has truly introduced democracy within its ranks.
Criticising mainstream political parties, he said they had not produced a single leader in the past twenty-five years. He said his party had the credit of awarding 35 percent tickets to young leaders.
He further said in PTI’s Pakistan, the powerful and weak would be treated equally in the eyes of justice.
“If the PTI comes to power, no influential person would be able to register false cases against the poor in the name of so-called rules and regulations,” said Khan.
He said PTI would introduce a local government system in the country so that power may be transferred to the grassroots.
He urged the youth that they conduct door-to-door campaigns to encourage people and urge them to support PTI in the forthcoming elections.
