Four teenagers drown in canal

Four people drowned in the canal in separate incidents on Friday.

As per details two teenagers Shahbaz, 14, and Muhammad Waqar, 17, drowned in the BRB canal while taking a bath. While two children drowned in the canal near Sagiyain Bridge while taking a bath.

Rescue teams reached the spots but failed to find the bodies after the several hours of struggle.

Arrests: Police arrested two criminals involved in the murder of a rickshaw driver Abdul Hameed from Lahore’s Hanjarwal area.

As per reports, police arrested the criminal named Yasir along with an accomplice. Yasir confessed to his crime and said that he had murdered Abdul Hameed two days ago because he owed the deceased Rs 30,000. “I had promised him that I would arrange a marriage proposal for him but I later refused,” he said.

Robberies: Robbers looted a shop in Lahore’s Misri Shah area and took away cash and valuables worth millions and escaped.

A citizen named Liaqat was robbed off his mobile phone, cash and other valuables and escaped. The robbery took place in Ali Park, South Cantt.

Asad was robbed off Rs 20,000 at gun point in Lahore’s Galib Market area.
