Violation of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) rules is increasing with the approaching of the general elections day.

Sources in the Excise Department have revealed that 58 Excise constables, who cannot even correctly spell their names, will assist at polling stations in PP-10, Rawalpindi. Some of these constables will perform duties of assistant presiding officers in the absence of presiding officers. The Excise constables are of grade-5 but the election duty roster says they are grade-14 and grade-15 officers. Similarly, the grade-7 clerks are mentioned as grade-12 or grade-14 officers in the roster.

The Excise officials say they have informed the ECP in writing about the errors.
