Shahbaz rejects PPP ad campaigns

Advertisements being aired by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) are a pack of lies and must be condemned, former Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Friday.

Criticizing the ‘advertisement campaign’ against his claims to eliminate electricity crisis in the province, the former CM said Asif Zardari and his associates were responsible for the issue.

“Transparency is the hallmark of PML-N government and all advertisements of the PPP in this regard are devoid of facts,” he said.

“The PML-N govt never quashed any project regarding electricity, but only expensive projects were reviewed,” Shahbaz told reporters, holding the former PPP government responsible for prevailing electricity crisis in the country.

He pointed that theft of electricity worth 300 billion rupees was taking place in Pakistan annually.

“The loot and plunder went on for five years during the tenure of PPP”, he said.
