Pak-Iran share deep rooted trade economic relations, says Shams

Punjab Law Minister Shams Mehmood Mirza said on Friday that Pakistan and Iran have a deep-rooted trade and economic relationship which will strengthen with the passage of time.

He expressed these views while talking to Iranian Consul General in Lahore Muhammad Hussain Bani Asadi on Friday.

Shams Mehmood Mirza said Pak-Iran relations had an historical and cultural significance and both countries were playing an important role in solving international issues.

He said continuity of democracy in Pakistan would improve bilateral relations and economic ties with other countries.

He said that it was the need of the hour to promote mutual relations in education, culture, trade and other sectors between the two countries.

Iranian Consul General Muhammad Hussain Bani Asadi said that the role of both countries was very important for peace and prosperity in the region.

He said trade ties between Pakistan and Iran would create job and investment opportunities for both the sides.

Political and trade relations were also discussed in the meeting.
