Newborn’s kidnapping foiled at Ganga Ram Hospital

A woman was caught red-handed kidnapping a new born at Ganga Ram Hospital on Thursday.

As per details, a woman, later identified as Zainab, a resident of Gulshan Ravi, dressed in guise of a doctor was on her way out of the hospital with a newborn when the security guards intercepted her. When the guards inquired about the newborn she failed to explain her case.

The security guards took the child’s custody and handed over to the hospital’s staff. According to sources, the woman was assisted by two unidentified people who managed to escape.

The Civil Lines Police have registered an FIR against the culprit on the request of the child’s father Mohammad Irfan.

Ganga Ram’s Dr Rana Sohail lauded the hospital’s management for foiling the kidnapping attempt.

SMUGGLING ATTEMPT FOILED: A smuggling attempt was foiled at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Thursday. As per details, Taib, a resident of Sargodha, was on his way to Dubai via Qatar Airlines when he got ill. Upon inquiry the airport security found out that he had swallowed heroin pills and was in a bid to smuggle them out of the country. He was shifted to the Sevices Hospital for treatment and recovery of heroin pills and was later arrested.
