All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) General Secretary Dr Amjad Malik has said former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf is not responsible for Akbar Bugti’s killing in the Balochistan operation.

Talking to reporters on Friday, Malik said office bearers of the bar had discussed with the counsels for Musharraf to avoid any clash between his supports and the lawyers. He said bar office bearers had assured that there would be no such clash on the next hearing.

Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi (ATC) accepted the APML’s bail petition while sent 13 other accused to the Adiala Jail on a judicial remand in the lawyers’ torture case.

A scuffle broke out between the lawyers and former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf’s supporters on the hearing of the Benazir Bhutto assassination case.

Several supporters and lawyers got injured in this scuffle after which the lawyers lodged the first information report (FIR) against Malik and 13 other supporters of APML.

On Friday, all the 14 accused presented themselves before the ATC. The ATC judge only granted bail to Malik while sent the other 13 to Adiala Jail on a judicial remand.
