5 years of corruption ruined country: Nawaz

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has said corruption had badly damaged the country during the last five years.

Addressing a public rally on Friday‚ he said during the tenure of the previous government, poverty and unemployment had risen and the economy was in doldrums.

He said nothing was done for the welfare and betterment of peasants and labourers in the governments of dictators.

Nawaz said the PML-N‚ if voted to power‚ would change the destiny of the country.

He said Pakistan was a nuclear power but people did not have enough resources to earn their bread.

Nawaz maintained that the “player” and Zardari had a type of collusion with each other.

The PML-N chief said poverty and load shedding increased during the last five years and the country lagged behind other regional countries in pace of development.

Nawaz disclosed that he rejected the offer of five billion dollars for not conducting nuclear tests.

The PML-N chief said Pakistan conducted six nuclear tests in response to India’s five tests.

He vowed that his party would administer loans to skilled youth to run their own business.

Talking about his previous tenure, Nawaz said during his premiership, there was peace in the country including Balochistan, Karachi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He expressed his great concern over deteriorating law and order in the country.
