The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday suspended Islamabad High Court’s orders on taking punitive action against Islamabad inspector general of police (IG) over the escape of former president general (r) Pervez Musharraf.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court heard an application filed by Islamabad IG Bin Amin against the IHC’s orders.
The counsel of the IG pleaded that hearing was still continuing at the high court therefore a stay order be granted.
After hearing the arguments, the Supreme Court suspended the orders of the high court.

You are correct when you say " what is required on the part of all those associated with the trial is to pursue it strictly in accordance with law so that justice is not only done but seen to have been done. In the eyes of law, " I wish if you had the guts to demand the same when this man was in power. For Pakistan it may well be the first experience but in Bga General Arshad was COS and President for a number of years but when toppled he was sent to jail and he did spend his time there. It is time that this rouge general along with others be brought before the courts and be held to account for all their misdeeds. As to Dr. Ahmed´s comments tge issue is very simple. Musharraf´s bail applicatiocation was canceled and the IG had the duty to arrest the the accused and he did not and therefore the ISB H C was correct. There is nothing in it which can be described as Judicial Activism, a term widely misused and misunderstood. .
