PTI info secy says Nadia Ramzan is daughter of Imran Khan’s friend and raises funds for charity projects

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has denied seeking the Ahmadiyya community’s support in the upcoming general elections after a video clip surfaced in the social media of a meeting between a party delegation and the Ahmadiyya spiritual chief in London recently.
According to the video, the support of the persecuted Ahmadiyya community was sought through a PTI delegation led by one Nadia Ramzan Chaudhry who met Mirza Masroor Ahmed, spiritual leader of the Ahmadiyya community.
In the video clip, Nadia Ramzan introduced herself as a London-based office-bearer of the PTI working in the Party’s Secretariat. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the upcoming general elections in Pakistan.
“We had voted for Zulfikar Ali Bhutto but in return he declared us non-Muslim, Allah Almighty bestow you with success…we will think on the matter if PTI will do justice after coming into parliament,” responded Mirza Masroor when Nadia Ramzan asked for his support for PTI in the general elections.
Nadia enquired from Mirza what would be the outcome of the general elections, as the Ahmadiyya community believed in justice and equality and the PTI also believed in the same principle, the community would support which party and what would be Mirza’s directives to his followers?
Mirza said as far as casting vote was concerned, the Ahmadiyya community would vote for the party that was sincere with the country and believed in equality.
He said, “The community has been declared as non-Muslims in Pakistan, we have a separate voters list which discourages the community from tendering votes.”
During the meeting, Mirza said when Imran Khan was building his political party, he had sought the Ahmadiyya community’s support through one of his emissaries during Mirza’s visit to Pakistan. He said that no one talked about withdrawing the law declaring Ahmadis non-Muslims for fear of ‘Maulvis’.
At one instance, Nadia said the PTI’s manifesto ensured liberty to all religions and sects, to which Mirza enquired which party’s manifesto declared discrimination among Pakistani citizens?
“We will definitely vote for the PTI next time when the party does justice with us after coming into power,” Mirza added.

PTI DENIES ASKING FOR SUPPORT:

Commenting on the meeting, PTI Information Secretary Shireen Mazari said the individual in the video does not represent the PTI “politically”.
“Imran Khan has categorically denied having passed on any such instructions to anyone on the party’s behalf,” she said. “Nadia Ramzan is the daughter of Imran Khan’s friend. Our secretariats both in the US and UK have elected office-bearers and a young man, Shahbaz heads the PTI Secretariat in the UK,” she said.
However, she said that Imran Khan has a personal secretariat in London which collects funds for charity projects such as cancer hospitals and universities and “Nadia is a part of that secretariat which includes Khan’s close friends”.

    • Its like saying to Muslims to vote as Chritians or Hindus. If ahmadis think they are Muslims its their right. Why should they vote as non Muslims because you Pakistanis want them to?

  15. Really unfortunate that Ms Mazari had to issue a formal denial, Ahmadis are no different than any other community living in Pakistan, than why is it such a crime to ask for their support in election, for this one incident I say shame on PTI

    • This is a reality my dear. They had to do it, otherwise they could lose a wast support in Pakistan. Because muslims strongly believe that Qadianis are enemies of Islam. And I believe that they are enemies of Pakistan as well.

  16. Pakistan has many different kind of people. There are people that are keeping the country together, and there are some that are a curse for the rest. I love Pakistan more than many Pakistanis, I love the entire Earth because God made it for all mankind. However I live in Canada, my Pakistan lives with me here, because Canada is a better Pakistan than the original Pakistan ever could be. I am an Ahmadi Muslim, and I choose to be here just like the Holy Prophet(s) chose to leave city of Mecca and chose to migrate to live in the city of Medina.

    What did that one man who changed the fate of Arabia teach; what did his legacy Muhammad(s) teach? He taught oceans upon mountains load of knowledge. He could have lived wealthy and in leisure and luxury, yet he chose to live poor, to give us what? To give us but one lesson that human dignity is not built upon worldly wealth, but on the strength of faith; to teach us that it is not greed but the thankfulness to God that brings His pleasure and prosperity. Pakistan needs to remember that and ditch that growing tendency of greed and self righteousness growing strong in many of its citizens.

    God Bless the region of Pakistan, and may its people become strong, the deprived and those usurped of their rights and wealth suffer a lot! May human dignity emerge strong in Pakistan! Amen!

  19. Ahmadi is the most progressive and advanced concept in all the existing Islamic sects, originated in the fertile land of Punjab. It is the greatest gift given by India to Islam in spite of all its brutalities. Ahmadis gave the same to Islam what Guru Nanak gave to Hindus. Sikhism taught hindus to defend itself unitedly against brutal enemy, while Ahmadis taught Islam to respect and live peacefully with other faiths. Alas, Islam couldn't recognize this till date, even Punjabis in Pak are not ready to identify their own original gift to Islam and blindly follow Arabians/Persians. In fact, Ahmadis/Punjabis are the Guru of whole Islamic World. Sooner or later, muslims will reconize it.

The first pillar of Islam is the declaration by a muslim that there is no lord worth worship except ALLAH ALONE and 2nd Hazrat Muhammad sallallahu alaihe wasallam is the last prophet of ALLAH. The Ahmadis declare the first sentence but not not the 2nd one.They are not muslims rather they are a great threat to the cause of Islam, they are more dngerous than MUNAFEQIN (hypocrats).   44. This is really stretching it… somebody from the PTI asks the Ahmediyyas for support, it becomes an issues and IK says whoever has done it has done so on a personal level not on instructions from the party.

    Now had IK then gone on to reprimand that person or have her removed from the party as a grave violation this might be news… and may indicate a bias…. otherwise its just a statement of fact.

    Everyone would have issues if IK was sending people to talk to spiritual leaders for support, let alone on a topic as sensitive as the Ahmadiyya one.

    It really is interesting though. The TTP wanted to kill him because he was a liberal. Half the county doesnt want to vote for him because of his "Jewish" connections. The liberals hate him because he's not coming out in vocal support for the Ahmediyya community. And all the while all other parties are beyond reproach because nobody expects anything from them.

    This is a typical diversion tactics used by the religious parties to scare the leadership of the centerist parties who talk about Quaid's Pakistan.

    If he didnt send that woman to ask for votes then its simply a statement of fact and doesnt turn IK into some kind of Ahmedi-hater…

    If he did, he was obviously trying to open back-channels with them without arousing the wrath of the religious-right who were going to turn it into an election issues, somehow matching it up with the Jewish conspiracy story.

    In either case, this news is being unfairly depicted.

  47. What wrong would have Imran Khan Done, Even If He asked for the Support of the Ahmadiyya Community? Are we forgetting the fact that the father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam had asked for the help of the Second Ahmadiyya Caliph for the cause of Pakistan and in the ensuing election every Ahmadi voted for Muslim League. Whereas, the father of Jamaat–Islami Maulana Maudoodi and Leader of Ahrar Ataullah shah Bukhari vehemently opposed the formation of Pakistan. If someone has a problem with a politician asking for the help of the Ahmadis, then he should first of all Question Jinnah. Imran Comes Later.

    • This is the biggest mistake done by Ahmadis. It is really sad to see that the ideology that taught Islam "how to live decently with other faiths", supported divisive ideology of Jinnah. May be this is the reason, they lost their credibility and now getting the punishment for this crime.

  50. I am a bit confused as usual! Is it the financial contribution of the Ahamadia community on trial—a community which happens to be the loyal citizens of pakistan or is it PTI on trial for? accepting it. Why do we target people for their beliefs—soon there will no one left to aim at. Forgive me if i digress. Even at one stage Gen..Zia was targeted as a closet Ahamdia! I remember coming to Pakistan to study at KEMC. We had a couple of christian students studying in my class and staying in the same hostel. There food used to be made separartely and they used to eat alone and their utensils used to washed separaely. I used to make every effort to eat with them which they appreciated but not by others who meant i ate with unclean people. My reasoning that i myself came from a christian country wherere i had faced no reverse discrimonation won no friends. The same was the case with a couple of hindu students from sindh. They felt isolated but used to appreciate a visit to Shazan resturant at mall with me. They always invited me to Diwali inSindh. Such is our closed mind in Pakistan. The Ahamdia community has served the country well. Who was our foreign MInister who pasionately presented our case at UN regarding Kashmir? Who was the Gen leading our troops in Kashmir in !965? Who won the Nobel prize for pakistan? Now if the same community wants a progressive Pakistan in the footsteps of Jinnah let us embrase them rather then rejecting their financial contributions. Don.t we BEG from Saudis and USA who always attach political strings! Pakistan is for everybody not for a slected few who decide our fate.

  51. What is wrong if Imran asked Ahmadis to give him their votes? Is this a sin to ask them? Why are we Pakistanis so prejudiced and religiously extremist? I am shocked to see the reply from PTI. They could simply say what is wrong in doing so? They asked for vote but they didn't say that they agree what Ahmadis believe. I am really disappointed after this display of discrimination by PTI. The vacuum is till there. Who will actually change Pakistan, I am still not sure it is PTI.

  59. Dear Pakistanis! I am so glad that PTI's information secretary has categorically denied this news. Qadiyanis are not like any other minority which are living in Paksitan. They are the biggest enemy of our Rasool (PBUH) munkar e Rasool and politically they had always been involved in anti Pakistan agenda.
    Any party seeking their support will loose Allah and his Rasool's blessings. Having said that, i have all the respect for other minorities in Pakistan and treat them as equal citizens.

Pakistan came in to being because of DO KOMI NAZRIYA…in HINDUSTAN muslim were not free , still they are not over there. Quaid e Azam struggled for Muslims separate Country where they can live as per islamic ways. minorities are also protected in Islam. but Pakistan ka matlab kia LA ILAHA ILALLAH. its true all religons have equal rights in Pakistan but AHMADIS are quite different . they are using muslims names and mingled with Muslims society.. Sikhs, hindus , christian are declared by thier religon and are not threat to Muslims at all. on the otherhand AHMADIS are in disguise of Muslims and more dangerous then any one. So PTI should clear thier mind set on this issue. We muslims will not accept AHMADIS as muslims and will not allow PAKISTAN to become a secular state

    • You are the true muslims, who taught the muslim world "how to live peacefully with other faiths". The one biggest mistake done by Ahmadis is that they supproted divisive two nation theory of Jinnah, which was totally against the principles on which Ahmadis believe. It is really sad to see that the ideology that taught Islam "how to live decently with other faiths", supported divisive ideology of Jinnah. May be this is the reason, Ahmadis lost their credibility among the masses.

    Sorry to say that you have the same thinking as Ahmadi and qadiyani thinks. Pakistan was built in the name of ALLAH and we respect all religions in Pakistan. To say that qadiyani and Ahmadi have the same rights as Muslims this is totally wrong. They will get the minority status and they have no claim on them to be a Muslim. If PTI tries to do this then it is also very wrong And your views are also very bad. Not represents what majority of Pakistanis think. You should reconsider your views

  75. i strongly condemn comments of Mr. Atif , as a muslim he must not support Ahmadies. Ahmadies can be ideal for other religons but they are not muslim at all and are not ideal for muslims.
