Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday again challenged Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif to a live debate on TV ahead of the elections.
Addressing a public rally in Pakpattan, Khan reiterated his resolve against taking oath from President Asif Zardari, unlike Nawaz, who he alleged was hand in gloves with the president.
Boasting about his cricket credentials, the PTI chief said he would bowl the PML-N leader on the very first ball, adding that the nation would celebrate the making of a new Pakistan on May 11.
Khan said the PML-N had been repeatedly tested but failed each time. He said former Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif should have focused on resolving the power crisis instead of spending millions on the metro bus project, adding that the biggest factor behind the increasing unemployment was the energy crisis.
“The excessive load shedding in Punjab is due to the mismanagement of Shahbaz Sharif’s government and not that of the Centre,” Khan said.
The PTI chairman again made it clear that if voted into power‚ the PTI will bring a revolution in the country that was on the verge of collapse.
“The people of Punjab have decided for change and will vote for the PTI on May 11,” Khan said.
Forget it Imran! Nawaz Shariff is not going to take the bait. He is acting imperious and not about to fall on his own sword. The problem for the common man may be excessive load shedding but the country can only stand on it,s feet if there is investment from abroad. For this to occur we need security and justice which is absent . Where ever you go the kettle seems to be calling the pot black. Even the judiciary is not immune. Let us hope the new pakistan on the horizon will really be NEW and not a rerun of the old. We can illafford to make mistakes. The country is bleeding.
