The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday issued contempt of court notices to President Asif Ali Zardari and former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf for not implementing the court’s verdict in the dual national case.
According to a Radio Pakistan report, a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will hear the case on Thursday.
Notices were also issued to Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim‚ chairman Senate‚ former interior minister Rehman Malik and the attorney general.
Last month, the Supreme Court had ordered the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and courts across the country to ‘ruthlessly scrutinise’ all election contestants and also take action against former lawmakers with fake degrees and dual nationalities
The judiciary, which had given the landmark judgment that any person having dual nationality could not become a member of the parliament , had also decided to look within its own institution for those possessing dual nationalities.
This judiciary has become the laughing stock of the world. They have taken on the role of administrators. They want to rule but not be held accountable. Hang them on a pole.
Since 1947, opponents of Quaid e Azam are trying to become ruler of Pakistan. Previously they failed to acheive their target through election and martial law. Now they are attempting through judiciary. They will fail again. People of Pakistan will win.
I think our honourable judges need help.
There is definitely something wrong with our Judiciary. They r imposing everything on everybody and think themselves as holy cows. Why Chief Justice has never taken any action against open corruption in lower judiciary by readers, stenographers, ahalmads and other court staff. Does Mr C.J have no knowledge about it? He cant be so innocent. Or is it not worth taking a suo moto action?
Time will come when all these judges will be hanged publicly.

I fully support our Judiciary, CJP and his verdict. Those politicians who have fake degrees they lied then how can they lead the nation. Similarly who are dual nationals they don't like to be called only Pakistanis that's why they earned dual nationality so how can we call them our true leaders who divided their sincerities amount two countries. I am also staying abroad but I am not dual national because for me, Pakistani nationality is above all the nationalities and our green passport is most respected than all others.
Please also talk about Judges, what is their character and how with this character they can judge others. What about Arslan Case????
the leaders or some people who interested in power made an ideology for the honest Muslim people that we are going to have our own state, law, government acording to Islamic principles. so made an Ideology and the people became their fuel. people died, innocent children murdered, women raped, Muslims houses and property destroyed, but when Pakistan created who ruled it? the thirsty of powers own the country and people were happy that Pakistan is based on onnes of Allah. poor people were not aware of the trape. from Liyaquat to now its the same cruelty, curruption and lies. so My brothers think think and think ……..
