Power shortfall reaches 4,200MW

The power shortfall has risen up to 4200 megawatts, plunging the country into a serious electricity crisis.

According to details, unscheduled power outage for hours each day is being conducted across the country.

Despite the distribution companies being in-charge, electricity is suspended from the central power control centre of the federal capital, sources added.

Load shedding in rural areas of the country has reached up to 18 hours, while the urban areas experience 14 hours-long power breakdown.

The prolonged power outages have not only affected the daily routine of citizens, but have also led to water shortage.

The persisting power breakdown in the country has frozen the business activities in the country that not only affects economy of the country but also causes domestic chaos and turmoil.

Meanwhile, an irritated mob in Kohi Ratta and Kashmir took to the streets against the unscheduled power outages and demanded the government chalk out a proper plan for the load shedding.
