The Lahore High Court (LHC) has allowed Nawaz Sharif, Javed Hashmi, Arbab Ghulam Rahim and Liaqat Jatoi to be made party in a petition seeking their disqualification.
Justice Ejazul Ahsan took up the petition for hearing on Wednesday and counsel for the petitioner told the court that returning officers had breached Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution by declaring “defaulters and corrupt elements” eligible to contest the elections. The petitioner said that the accused had been identified in Asghar Khan case but they had been allowed to contest elections.
The court allowed the petitioner to include the accused as party in the case and file the amended version of the petition.
