The caretaker federal government has requested the Supreme Court of Pakistan to transfer all cases against former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf to a single place keeping in view the surmounting security threats facing the former president.

According to sources, the federal government wrote a letter to the apex court pleading that there were immense security threats involved in Musharraf’s transportation to and from different courts.

Under the circumstances when general elections were approaching, it was not possible for the government to provide him with heightened security; hence, all the cases against the former president should be moved to a single place, the government pleaded.
