The Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s “Clean and Green Islamabad” campaign has now moved to Sector G-10 after the campaign met success in Sector I-10, said CDA Planning and Design member Syed Mustafain Kazmi on Wednesday.

Kazmi, who is also the CDA chief coordinator of the Clean and Green Islamabad campaign, said CDA Chairman Syed Tahir Shahbaz would himself visit Sector G-10 along with civil society representatives, citizens and schoolchildren. “The CDA chairman will himself collect litter as a gesture of keeping Islamabad clean,” he said.

Kazmi said the campaign had met a huge success in Sector I-10. “During this three days campaign, the CDA will set up an enquiry office in Sector G-10 where representatives of all the CDA departments will listen to the complaints and suggestions of the residents,” he said. Kazmi also said that CDA officials would immediately take appropriate measures to address the complaints, adding that at the end of the three days campaign, the enquiry office would be turned into a CDA camp office so that the sector could be kept clean and tidy.

Describing details of the campaign, Kazmi said the campaign had been launched to redress complaints of residents through public participation. “This drive will send a message to the residents to own the city and will also help improve overall state of the capital,” he said.

Kazmi said the campaign met a huge success in Sector I-10 through the participation of the people. He requested that people must also come out and join the campaign in Sector G-10 so that Islamabad could be made the most beautiful city in the country.
